My dried "kamias"(another income for me)
It's used as souring agent in our cuisine like sinaing na isda to last it long. Fresh kamias also use in paksiw and sinigang. I sell per kilo in public market. Batangenio people love to use dried kamias. I pick the fruits in the tree and dried it under the sun. Other benefits of kamias, the sour fruit is a natural source of vitamins B and C, iron, phosphorus and antioxidants. Its fruits can control gastrointestinal bleeding in the stomach,
fight cholesterol, fever and inflammation, and prevent cough, beriberi
and scurvy. It’s antidiabetic and antibacterial. The juice from its fruit can be used for household purposes, like cleaning and bleaching. It removes rust and stains. It can be eaten with salt, soy sauce or sugar.
